Who should consider buying this tool?

The Autel MD802 will also suit someone who loves maintaining their own vehicles and is a bit ‘techie’.  In days gone by cars were easy to work on at home. Then with the advance of technology it became a bit harder to do it all yourself unless you have a tool like this that can read ALL the codes for ALL the modules.

This tool is good enough for a small repair shop to have as a lightweight portable alternative.  It’s also going to be great value for anyone that has to maintain or service a fleet of vehicles. If you are in the used car sales industry, buying used cars is always risky, but using Car Diagnostic Tools like this one reduces your risk considerably for a comparatively small amount.

With the introduction of the MitsuReset tool, shops now have a low-cost, simple solution for performing TPMS relearns on Mitsubishi vehicles without the need for a scan tool, ATEQ says. Other TPMS tools require users to use a second trigger tool while the primary tool is connected to the OBDII port of the car. ATEQ’s standalone MitsuReset allows users the freedom to use any other TPMS trigger tools like the ATEQ VT55 diagnostic tool, the ATEQ VT30 or VT15 trigger tools.

ATEQ Corp., a global manufacturer of high-quality TPMS diagnostic tools, has announced the release of the new Mitsubishi TPMS re-learn module, the MitsuReset tool. According to ATEQ, until now, the Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander and Mirage required the use of an expensive scan tool coupled with a TPMS trigger tool in order to reset their TPMS system.

How to Solve VW Amarok Caddy 2018+ Remote Not Working After Programming

Here comes the general problem of VW Amarok Caddy etc. 2018+ UDS protocol vehicles: 2019 VW Caddy. I spent a few hours programming the Xhorse key using VVDI2 . Also tried TDB1000. Remote function could not be obtained. Every time the programming failed, the original remote stopped working until I scanned and cleared errors. I expected it to work when the transponder was added (Megamos AES). I can’t access remote learning with any of my tools, nor did vvdi2 let me program the remote. I was wondering if anyone could confirm remote learning with transponders or how to learn it if not. Solution: It is not possible for BH remote controls after 2018 at the latest. You will not get any communication with the central locking remote control customization. You need a dealer key 100% and then learn from ODIS. There is no after-market solution, VAG blocked the remote channel on UDS vehicles 2018+. Had the exact same issues with new caddies. So merchant key and Odis ATM since the c...

How to install TIS2000 TIS2Web GlobalTIS for TECH 2

This is Trollhattan’s contribution for those interested in playing with a Tech 2 Scan Tool , here’s a little info regarding the software requirements once you’ve got your hands on a Tech 2 handset. Firstly, I’m by no means an expert on this having only recently got this up and running myself, but I think that’s the tricky part. I’d welcome comments on where this post can be improved/altered etc. Most of the information is already out there on various boards/forums but it would be nice to try to bring it together for us with a purely Saab interest. For those who don’t know, the Tech 2 unit (handset) can be used to interrogate the various management modules on the car (ECU) to report status, fault codes and perform manual activation and monitoring in the event of fault occurrences/engine management light occurrences. This in itself is incredibly useful, but it is also possible to reprogram modules within the car to change various functions and add or replace faul...
